ITRP Training Information

 

ITRP 2 Network Security Juniper Training

  Due to many training requests, a sixth Juniper training session has been added. This training will be a duplicate of the previous five training sessions.
  Date(s): Session Six: Monday – Friday, September 22-26
  Location: Southern California – the location is to be determined.
 

Description: The training will consist of five days of customized training covering all or part of the following five Juniper courses: Security Manager Fundamentals (SMF), Configuring Juniper Networks Firewall/IPSec VPN Products (CJFV), Integrating Juniper Networks Firewalls and VPN’s into High-Performance Networks (IFVH, Attach Prevention with Juniper Networks Firewalls (APJF) and Advanced Juniper Networks IPSec VPN Implementations (AJVI).

 

Suggested prerequisites: General networking knowledge, including Ethernet, TCP/IP and routing concepts.

  Attendees: Senior network staff members that are responsible for their campus ITRP 2 network security.

ITRP 2 Aruba Wireless Training

  Date(s): Session Six: Tuesday – Thursday, November 18-21

Description: The training is a 4 day classroom course and lab covering WLAN design, administration and troubleshooting. The course will also cover aspects of redundancy, authentication, encryption, firewalls, guest access and remote access.

 

Required prerequisites: Introduction to Aruba Technology

 

Suggested prerequisites: Introduction to Networking Fundamentals

  Attendees: CSU staff members who will be responsible for managing and/or supporting their campus’ ITRP 2 Aruba wireless equipment.

Tech Summit South

  Date(s): Fall 2008
  Location: TBD
 

Description: Intended to increase communication between campus technical support staff. Attendees meet, collaborate and share "cool geek" things happening on their campuses. Attendees will return to their campuses armed with new ideas and helpful information..

 

Suggested prerequisites: None.

  Attendees: Technical support staff members who are responsible for maintenance and support of campus network operations.

Tech Summit North

All are welcome to attend. Although we are hosting this event in northern California, attendees from all CSU campuses are welcome. We hope to see you there!
