The CSU mourns the loss of a friend, alumnus and ardent advocate with the passing of Trustee William Hauck. Appointed to the CSU Board of Trustees in 1993, Trustee Hauck was an alumnus of San José State University and had an esteemed career in public policy. Among other positions, he served as chief of staff for former Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, Jr. and as deputy chief of staff for former Gov. Pete Wilson. Trustee Hauck was passionate about the CSU and in 2010 he endowed the Trustee William Hauck Scholarship
